Happy Days

 Watch "339. Happy day updates" on YouTube because of God's grace, my good days far outweigh my bad days. Then there are days like this day.  I woke up...pain free, the kids on the bus were mostly behaved, and....good hair day, I came home to a gift from my daughter, coffee from mom, went back to work...had a good run. Came home...dropped off stuff, headed to prayer meeting...more good news.

I even slept well. If all of my days were like this day...my face would hurt from smiling all the time.

Puff maker

Freedom Hair

Once again, I've been asked how I get my hair like this...without gel or products...and such. Its not a wash n go....I don't even know how what's currently being called a "wash n go" got that name....cuz it takes so long the "go" is like an hour away. This is my version...I call it "Freedom Hair" and it takes maybe 5 mins. Check out the video to watch me do it start to finish. Freedom Hair 

Fantastic skin quick

What's the secret....bentonite clay. And don't even bother to buy a special batch of it...just use the mud wash you already have...be it by Aztec or Terressentials.  Here I have Terressentials pure earth wash-cool mint on my face. I poured about a tablespoon in a ramikin along with an equal amount of aloe juice. Mixed it until it was a looser texture than I use for my hair........and simply painted it on my skin with a face brush. Then I put my feet up for 20 mins until it dried. Loosened it with a warm face towel....rinsed it off and that was it. It was both my face wash and mask.

When I came home...my face felt like all the silt on the bus lot had waged war on my face and it was starting to break out on my left cheek...now there is no sign of the break out, no dullness, and its super soft. If you do this...avoid the eyes...avoid the lips. If you use cool mint...be advised that along with peppermint...there is spearmint...which may make your eyes water. But it rinses clean from skin just as it does the hair...leaving behind the glow you see here.

Intertwined Swirl

I took advantage of the curlformer straitened hair ( see vid #101:  http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=_dYUGE9AisE ) and braided into this style. Start with hair parted into 4 sections. Make the first braid at an angle on section 1....make all subsequent braids follow the path of the first one towards the center of crown. Now starting with the back section of section 2...braid towards the center of crown. The hair in front that meets in the center part, place a braid on the right, then left,then right...alternating this way until center front is done. Then braid the ends of the center braids together.

Now following the curve of the head, braiding the back towards the center same as the front sections. Anchor all the hair in a ponytaiil....roll towards front, then anchor the ponytail with a bobbi pin.

Looks complicated when done....but its a simple braid pattern....and will keep the hair off my shoulders.

Weighted two strand twists

Why wait till day 3 for your twists to puff and hang when you can have the same effect....30 seconds after finishing. Place a mini duck bill clip on the end of each twists as you do them...spray with water and let them hang until dry. They may still take 3 days to fully puff but they won't unravel and they will hang at full length. If you have a shortage of clips...do hair in sections from the nape up...when you run out of clips...take a hair band and anchor that section...remove the clips and start the next section. Leave the hair bands in over night and cut them off in the morning. Sleep on a satin pillow or use a bonnet. This protective will last up to a month.

This is what i work up to. Face framing hair instead of "hello hair" loving the hair cut thus far.

Curlformers on dry hair with flat twist front...results

A too long in the front mohawk, haha. Soft, shiny, and very effective...gonna do this again. By the way I found the bottle of setting lotion...its called Lustersilk set & style lotion. So here's the pics. I will be styling it differently tomorrow...mohawks should never hinder your vision. They're supposed to center your thoughts not bblind ya. Haha stay blessed.
