The. Peacock swirl....didn't quite work out the way I planed. The batch accelerated, the comb was too closely set...the whole batch shifted like it was gonna dump over the edge....so I fixed it...kinda. the colors were taken over by the choclolate....perhaps I'll see them once cut. This soap was made with silk, chocolate powder, sugar for lather, salt to creat a hard long lasting bar and an amazing scent...Sage and Citrus.
This is by no means the last attempt....but the first of many.
Facing surgery and an INR of 1.6 the only thing I really wanted was a salad. Off coumadin for a week, as a surprise....birthday party...totally thru me off. Hahaha thought I was getting a mani-pedi. Haha they got me good. Dinner was spaghetti and a mixed green salad........with spinach. I can't have spanich...tried to eat it anyway and my face...tingling, itching...instead of risking a closed throat...which undoubtedly the hospital stay would have interfered with my surgery...I behaved. The day before the surgery...inr was still too high at 1.1. The doctor told me to pick up a perscription of a mega dose of vitamin K (5 mgs is 'mega'...powerful stuff!) ..."buy a bottle of water when you pick it up....and take it immediately....then go get your salad...a larger one." First I said, "for real? You serious?" She said yep...no comadin and a salad with K is a lowere INR. It worked...they didn't cancel my surgery.
Now I have a great memory to appease me when the phantom toothache pain hits. Haha no teeth but I swear its like I ate a big piece of my cake. Ahhh well it will go away soon...and my personal cake has been frozen so soon as I'm able to eat solid foods again...that cake and a salad are the first things on my list. Haha we take salads seriosuly around here!
They made me wear closed toe shoes (which I had to buy...I only own boots and sandals) and my nail polish had to come off...the color wll be going back on soon as I get some of that color. As for the swelling...it has REALLY gone down into a less scary look.
Each bar is well over 6 oz even after the trim. I used extra scent when made the soap smell great but increased the occurance of ash.....thick layer of it on the soap. I was going to leave it as ash is purely cosmetic...however, that didn't stop me from being curious as to what the soap was hiding as I knew what the swirl was supposed to look like without the ash....well...it looks amazing! What's more...I only trimed off the overpour ...the swirl is clearly seen, the soap is even in size, and the bars are still over regulation size. The trimmed ash will become samples.
And the twists.....so the bangs are at the height they are gonna lay at....but even though they are out of my face, I called it back so I could see how they blend. It was 91 degrees outside so then I put it up in a power puff...my hair snapped the elastic so now its in a half pony. Hahaha. I have discovered...I love my bangs!
Dipped the soaps in water..........they are now nice and shiny and ready for their close-ups!

A spectrum of colors in different sizes and shapes and a totally awesome blend of coconut, canoloa, grapseed oils, other conditioning soaps and natural colors....smells of Cherry Overload and its amazingly mild even now. This was processed in the oven to lessen the cute time. Cure date will be end of July!
