My favorite art...

Been trying to find a copy of the original for years..instead of just a
book cover. In the meantime...I bought the book just for the picture.

Blast to last...

The Blue Blast scarf has just surpassed it's original length...and I
still have this much yarn left over. What a diff 5 sts makes.

Blue Blast

Thought I had posted this...but no...I posted it to facebook and thought
I blogged it instead. This is the "Before" and the After is already in
progress...but with 15 sts...not 10. See "one hour challenge".
=====================
Blue Blast From the Past This 20 st blue mess was a scarf I made
mom...my first winter back in Cincinnati . 1991. Haha it looks like it's
been thru a war! I can't have her walking around with this thing...it 's
been frogged into a huge blue ball...and I've started re-knitting it.
She asked if it could be thinner... oh make my day...10 st scarf coming
up! Of course working with only 10 sts instead of 20 will make a longer
scarf...and go faster.

One hour challenge...

This is lion brand chenille...I cast on 15 sts on 10.5 needles....at 10
o'clock and knitted thru The Mentalist and this is what I have: 7 x 16
inches. Gotta love that. I feel the challenge was successful...since
I've been procrastinating refinishing this scarf...and for half a month
it had been stagnated at 4 inches. So I frogged it completely and
started over....gave my self an hour and voila!

Dinner:

2 grilled cheese sandwiches [[made with wheat bread and 3 slices of
cheese. (1 and a half slices for each sandwich) this completes your 24
oz of milk in 24 hours...which makes sure you get enough calcium to lose
weight. ]] and a salad with some kind of vinegarette dressing.
Coffee...or some low calorie drink. Important to note: save calories by
either toasting or microwaving...so you don't have to use oil.

Tryed something new...

But look how cute. Believe it or not...these are simple twists. I french
braided the back then I grabbed a section of hair on left side of
head...twisted it to the right and anchored it to the left with a
decorative clip. On the right...I twisted toward the left and anchored
it on the right. In the center I split the section in two...one got
twist left...one got twisted right...anchored the ends in the center and
pulled the hair over the clip. Done. This is a 5 min style. Wrap lightly
with a scarf...go to bed.
