Finished and ready for delivery! These socks feature a twist purl rib.

2nd skein attached ...

I used my twist exchange method. Can you tell where the new strand met
the old? If you can then I didn't do it right. Since it's my own
technique...trust me...I did it right. I did however attach from the
OUTSIDE of the skein instead of the inside. More colors match that way.
The inside had more 1" amber stripes.....which is to be avoided since
the first skein did not. Next pic will be the finished product.

Grippos chips...and a lot of air!

For 1.29 and a bag this size...you expect to open the Grippos and find
it full of chips. Instead I opened the bag...and can literally fold the
bag in half and not hit a single chip. Best chips in the world and the
only BBQ chips on the market that don't break me out in hives. It turns
out...I'm buying air...and the excuse "some settling may have occured".
don't ya just hate that? Ok I'm done venting...gonna go eat them.

...and waiting in the wings...

...is another sock. As you can see with the side by side comparison, and
from previous rantings about it, the other Toasted Almond skein which
turned out to have a different lot number....also has a different stripe
sequence and color pattern. I may need to borrow a few yards from the
new skien to finish...becuz as you can see, the "ball" is almost
gone...but I'm good at short term color blending...the customer will
never know the difference.

So waiting in the wings...is this sock I started....it will be a pair
that's shorter in the cuff so not problem. That pair will be mine. And
of course...pics will follow.

Snow blows!

I cleaned snow off my car this morning...went to work...which was
canceled...came home. Parked...salt truck drove by and salted my street
and my car...and I thought...good idea. Figured while I was already out
in the weather...may as well salt my runway...haha that is to say the
walk, the drive way, the steps, etc.

That was around 10 this morning. So now I'm out of cigs was about to go
to the store, looked out the window and saw this...and you can't tell
salt ever touched anything!

What's wrong with this picture?

The one on the right...is the finished sock of Heart and Sole wool color
name Toasted Almond, the one on the left...was supposed to be the second
sock...then I noticed the colors and stripe pattern was not matching up.
Upon closer look...lot number is different. The one on the
bottom...restart with what's left of the first skien....gonna knit as
far as I can with 1st skien and then the fuse in the 2nd. Then I'm gonna
take the second skien and complete another foot to complete the one
started. So in essence I will have 2 matched socks...perfect for the
client. And the not so perfect for me.
