My twists unraveled halfway, by the time I got back to base...so I unraveled the rest of the way. Put some hair pudding on it and just rubbed it thru...no comb or brush. Looks cute....moisturized....then I noticed....hanging lower than normal shrinkage allows, so I pulled it up... here's a length check. Unstraitened...6 inches. Which means it will be 9 or10 inches if I flat iron it. I am way tempted to flat iron it now...but its supposed to rain all week. The halo braid is still in tact. Will decide what I'm doing to the crown later.

Hmmm thats new!
Took down my halo cuz i wore a fleece high colar shirt to work yesterday and fleece tends to snag in curly hair. So...took it down...noticed the only dry hair was in the back where the colar was. I dipped my comb in moisturizer and combed thru. Immediately 2 things happened....1. The dry crunchy went away and becuz of this halo method of care...comb thru is generally tangle free. And 2. My curl pattern has changed. Looks like a 3b instead of 3c/4a. Nearly strait compared to what im used to. Hmmm thats new! Not sure I'm liking that. Hopefully by the tiime it drys it will revert back to the tighter curl pattern i know. Hopefully its. Just weighed down from product or something and will go back to normal after a good cleaning. Anyway...thought I'd share.

LOTW: halo twisted
So....I found myself twisting my halo fro. Instead of going "what am I doing...I wanted a puff fro...I just went ahead and continued. I decided not to use a comb to part or detangle....just grabbed sections and made kinky twists. Kinky twists have a puffier texture than regular twist becuz you don't comb them while you do them.
After I was done...I gathered all the twist into a ponytail so I could take down the halo....spray it with setting lotion...and rebraid it. Then I poured water over the twists until saturated...took out the ponytail holder. Then I gave it a shake and took the pics seen. I can redo the halo to keep it neat and the twists will last until I remove them.

LOTD: the halo fro
My halo is in a protective braid giving it the look of a braided "headband" while the rest was left free to be. You can use an actual headband to assist in braid placement of this style. I don't have to do a full protective style ...the only place I'm prone to breakage is the halo area...so its braided. When the halo catches up to the rest of the hair...then I'll wear it all down.
Moved the halo braid further back with the assist of a head band...after i got the head band where i usually put it for a puff...i braided it down. Took down the power puff i wore today and was back to a halo fro. While waiting for the kids to come out at second school...realized suddenly, i had put in 5 two strand twists. Haha so now im twisting the rest....LOTD has become LOTW.
