Shampoo bars

I finally found how to alter the standard shampoo bar recipe to suit my hair. No castor oil, no olive oil. Generous helpings of grapeseed oil, mango butter, peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil, coconut oil, and silk. Yep...you read that correctly......silk.

The lather is amazing, the feel... incredible, and the scent is an experience that makes the world seem better. I added some ultramine purple to shine up gray hair. This will give me beautifully clean hair without weighing it down.

Customers are speaking out!

http://www.etsy.com/listing/129753955/perfect-man-cold-process-soap?utm_source=etsyforandroid&utm_medium=api&utm_campaign=api

One thing as a soapmaker, I have found to be true, men are hard to sell to. They have a fave and wont try something new or they say "oh i dont need all of that."

However, that being said...i have become a new fave. One of my customers, Erik, knocked on the door yesterday to tell me he loves his soap and even though he planned to wait till it got cold outside to buy more....he started using it now. Loves the way it makes his skin feel and the scent. My bff gave her son a bar as a gift....just recieved this in my inbox:  Written review of perfect man... tested by Zac Pence:

"I'm a dude, I don't get into soap" *sniff* "OH, that smells GOOD! I'll definitely use this!"  (Initial conversation)

(One week later)

"I've been using that soap since you gave it to me. I love the way it smells, and the scent lasts all day. It smells clean and manly. I never paid attention to my skin before, but I can tell my skin is softer. I even shaved with it because I noticed it has a real thick lather."

<<I love getting email like this! Thanks Zac!>>

My brother has neglected all his name brand soaps for mine.

These soap was made when i first started making soaps...and therefore has no color. The next batch will have color....still deciding if its gonna be black and red...or shades of blue...etc. suggestions are welcome. Click the link to get yours now!

Soap dish

The special fabric wicks away the water, and since its suppended above the surface the soap dries completely.....no puddle of goop. The soap can easily be removed and used again and again.

Tilted tiger stripe challenge soap

Tilted tiger stripe with feathered top....challenge accepted, gushy happy feeling achieved! these came out beautiful! Made of palm, coconut, canola and grapeseed oil, scented with Lavender Sage...a unisex scent, and colored with magic violet pigment (which speckled a little) and diamond dust mica to jazz up the violet, true yellow mica, coral reef blue mica. This was done in standard mold....next one will be in a tall-narrow mold, as the effect changes with the shape of the mold....just as an itps does. Gotta love that....one technique....multiple outcomes.

My bff made me a bamboo and white grapefruit candle that smells amazing.

Criss Cross braids...re-anchored

The criss cross braids....were too tight and and I was going to take them down....soon as I removed the anchor braids...the pain went away. Turns out the anchor braids were too tight. I rearrange the flow of the braids and redid them looser...no more problem...new look. Like it better...gives the criss cross's more visability.

Tilted Tiger...challenge accepted.

Tilted Tiger swirl with fearhered top. 4 colors. 1. Natural, 2. Coral reef blue, 3. True yellow, 4. Magic violet + diamond dust...tilted tiger ttechnique. The scent is lavender sage.  I find it kinda cool that lavender sage is green and purple...and that's what color the soap ended up being...totally unplanned. Haha in fact...facebook friends help with the color selection and I gave them no hints on the scent...primarily cuz I didn't know what scent I was using at that point. Haha

This soap has palm, coconut, canola and grapeseed oils. Gentle to the skin, an herbal assault on the senses, pleasing to the eyes...on the surface. Haven't got to the surprise inside yet. Its cpop'd in the oven...will see the insie tomorrow. If it came out anything like expected...its gonna be amazing.
