This stocking cap...

This stocking cap looks like a knee high stocking out of the
package...then you put it on and there's enough stretch to completely
cover my beads....and more hair. Total surprise there...looks like it
wouldn't fit over my foot and it fits around my head securely and
comfortably. My son seen it in the store...remembered I was looking for
one and brought it home. He's a good son!

Major Score!!!

Found a store that had 2 pair of size 2 circs in stock at the same time.
Bought them both. Then...I came across a special item the "Susan bates
sock set"...4 sets of 5 dpns in sizes 1, 0, 00, 000....these are sizes
you generally have to special order...usually from the company that
makes them at 10.00 a set. And the sock set are aluminum and on sale for
10.00. Lets think about that....that's 50.00 worth of special order
needles...for a 1/5 of the price in a metal format. They were hanging
directly next to a set of size 1 bamboo needles that were priced at
15.00 for the single set of 4. Haha

Now if that didn't make me ecstatically happy...the yarn I found did!

Here I have Pattons stretch socks (cotton/wool blend), Pattons Kroy
jacquards (wool/nylon), and Pattons Kroy FX (wool/nylon). And the colors
are amazing! Life is fun....gotta go knit some of it!

Cascade fixation

I'm gonna use this to make some ttl mystery 09 socks....or koogi....or
both. Haven't decided yet. I already have this yarn. Would have to order
the other yarn. What to do, what to do?

Something someone told me..."watch" this.

Enabled me to wear my watch again! The metal on the back of my
watch...unlike the front isn't gold. I can only wear silver, gold,
plastic, etc next to my skin. Great for most jewelry...not so great when
your gold watch is only gold on the part that's seen. Someone told me to
paint the back with nail polish...perferably clear. I don't have
clear...only had pink. So I put the watch on...flipped it over and
painted it with the nail polish as shown. I let it dry for about an
hour, flipped it back over...waited 5 mins...no rash. No itch. No
indication what so ever of the allergic reactions most watches have
caused me. I have other jewelry I'm gonna do this too...and I don't
think I'll be looking for clear...with the colored polish I can easily
see if it's wearing off.

I can now report that's it's been a week and there has been no reaction.
Thought I'd share. If nickel or other metals bother you...give it a
try.

The Topi Dolly is all girl too!

Here she is taking a bubble bath while waiting for her mommy. This is my
grand dolly Topi. She had extended her vacation in "the wild" and has
just been recovered from the bottom of the sarenghetti (stash bin) so of
course the first thing to do after a vacation is a nice hot soapy bubble
bath. She has been cleaned...couple of minor repairs...ready to provide
smiles for a few more years.
