Gifts from route 643 and 169.

These are gifts from the children ...and the parents on my bus. Some are very thoughtful, some are from the heart, some...the thought is what counts. All are appreciated.

One child surprised me by asking to take my pic...this child acted like he hated me for the whole year for making him obey the safty rules. I hope he doesnt morph my pic into a monster. Hahaha nahhh...hes a good kid...just a little too much sugar in his diet.

Thank you for the gifts Andrew, Leah, Emma, Edward, Benjamin, Tamyra, Devon, Jacob M., Toni, Fatumata, Mikiahya, Chyna, Mrs. Klus, Mrs. Schmidt, Kaitlyn and Jeremy! Thank you passengers of routes 169 and 643 for making this a fun year.

Have a wonderful summer and hopefully I'll be your driver next year as well.

Body wrap...before

Once a year I do a body wrap. For most...its a vanity treatment to look good.  For me....in the process of losing weight...it tightens the extra skin and discourages the fat from returning. This is my belly at 8:30 am, this morning.

Body wrap....after.

This the results of my body wrap.  19" gone over all and 2 pounds lighter. The waist has a shape again. Now all I have to do is maintain the effect by walking, continue to eat properly, and excersise regularly. This skort is a size 10. This morning I had to lay down and hold my breath to get them zipped. Now they slide right on and I have room at the waist. Now I don't have to select clothes by what fits and what don't. Just choose what I want to wear...and go.

Quick headband necklace

Measure your head, divide that number in half, then devide the half in half...say its 20 inches around....then the sides of your headband will be 5 "each side....main will be 10. Cast on 4 sts an knit, knit until you have the 'half/half' measurement....in this example, 5inches. Then increase 3 sts inbetween the exsisting sts. 7 total. Knit the half measurement....10 inches. Then dec 3 sts....knit the matching half/half measurement....ex: 5 more inches. Pick up one matching st on cast on edge and bind off, repeat for each st until all sts are bound off.

Say "Sorry" when you're wrong

This is what the mug is supposed to look like...only i had the 20 oz mug....this picture is on of a 12 oz mug.

Be a grown up....not a child. When you're wrong....admit it, appologize for it. To make excuses is just plain childish.

Brother broke my handblown coffee mug....stuck it in with the clean dishes....with pieces of glass falling out of it.  Then gonna tell me (when. I told him specifically-- don't wash my stuff...I'll do it.) "It was cracked when I washed it." Well now my NEW mug is broken. He owes me 20.00. If it was cracked...pisspoor excuse...not to mention an outright lie....then why would you touch it and even risk breaking it? Duh.

Accidents happen....if he had said "sorry, it was an accident" I wouldnt have been angry. And bottom line....he could have said sorry. No...he wants to make excuses. He needs to man up and get out. It wasnt even the broken mug that angered me....it was the attitude attached to it. No appology and then an excuse. C'mon ...how old are you? Mentally, I'd say around 9 or 10 years old, despite the actual years on the planet. Children make excuses. Grown ups do not.

Knit along 2: Right leaning diagonal lace baby blanket

The second knit along...also a baby blanket so you can perfect your skills. The fun part about practicing new ptterns on a baby blankey....the baby never complains about a oops in the work, parents dont notice an oops in the work cuz they know you made it out of love, and you get to hone your skills. Another plus....they work up quickly.

Heres the pattern...cast on 110 sts...(or some even number thats a multiple of 4)

Right Leaning Diagonal Lace Pattern
