Real~Teal Shrug

Started this a few months before last Christmas for my mom...we have a
no~pester agreement...she's not allowed to pester me if I'm making
something for her. She can only point to a pic of what she likes and I
take it from there. This agreement was necessary after a few years of
antics where you knit something that she asked for and then expected it
to be altered on the fly. I then refused to knit ANYTHING FOR HER EVER
AGAIN and that's when we came up with the no pester plan. Once an item
is made...she also can't change it or ask that it be changed.

She chose a seed st shrug....and I hate seed st...so have not been
motivated to work on it. But a promise is a promise and I hope to finish
it by this Christmas. She seen my signature lace st shrug and decided
she wants one...but with a collar...blah, blah, blah. I told her she
could choose from an established pattern. So I'm gonna work on it an
hour a day until I'm done. An hour is about all I can deal with when
knitting seed st. Anyway...check out the pics....more will follow when finished. Seen here...different shots of the Real~Teal shrug in progress and the completed Turqua shrug.
