All kinds of goodies coming soon!

Face!, Yo-goats, and Dandelion Deviation are all cut...including samples.

I ph tagged the Face! Which I always do to my personal soaps and went ahead and wrapped them in som breathable paper...it can cure while wrapped. Look at the soap in the paper....you can barely see the green litmus stain but once wet...it will show up. If the soap changes in ph....the stain will change color.

The dandelion deviation came out....in. word...amazing! I took pics of both side after dipping them...they look hiny and wet cuz of the dipping but they are dry.

The Yo-goats hs lost that ammonia smell that occurs when fresh dairy products is mixed with lye....its a creamy butter color with no added color or scent. I'm so glad this came out well.

They will all be done curing on July 1, but I will probally cure them even longer. A soaping sister sent me a beautiful card and some rooibos tea to try. I'm already researching its benifits and planning a soap to be mde from it. It will lso color the soap red so I'm thinking....maybe add TD to part of the batch and swirl it. 3 soaps in 1 day and gifts in the mail...gotta love that! It was a long day but look at all the goodies it produced, with more to come!

Its green!

Not 24 hours yet, but the yo-goats is out of gel phase...which it did without insulation....and is testing light to mid green...that's 7/8 range on the ph scale. Can only go down from there and become even milder upon curing.

The dandilion deviation ...its solid...in the surface, but I have enough experience with my oatmilk soap to know not to trust it. There may be softness on the bottom or in the middle. I give my oatmilk a full 48 to 72 hours before removing from the mold...that includes the smaller ones in the individual molds.

The Face! soap is out of the pringles can....remember the large excess of paper at the top...that was there for "grip" once I removed the top and peeled the plastic wrap off the bottom of the soap....grip the excess paper at the top while holding the tube....pulled the soap right out...very smoothly. It will stay in the paper until ready to cut.

Since these were all made on 6/1/13....they will all be cured on the same day...7/1/13. That being said....I may decide to cure the yo-goats even longer...or not. I haven't decided that far yet.

3 soaps...1 day...big adventure

Today...I made a soap molds from 2 pringles cans for my personal soap cuz I've always wanted to try that method...1 failed on the slam and stared oozing all over the sink and I had to get the soap into the other can quickly....I use gravity....when the weight started pulling down the plastic wrap...I snipped it and let it drain into the other mold....then I used a spatula and got the rest in. Didn't lose more than like an oz or 2.

The second soap...oatmilk...I forgot...though it gives a perfect pour....it takes a long time to set up...slow to trace....the wrong soap for the swirl technique I was attempting....but it looks amazing. It just doesn't look like the dandilion swirl. The overflow went into the single bar molds and will be samples.

Then ...yo-goats...my attempt to make a cp version of my mp  yogurt goatsmilk soap....a big success. However...interestin process. The fresh goats milk and the fresh yogurt needed to be frozen first....so I did that Wednesday and the lye sprinkled on little at a time while stirring with a spatula. I premixed the oils in a smaller container...I used the larger one to process the lye keeping the temp at 80 degrees...at one point I had to put it in the freezer to bring the temp down. Superfatting was grapeseed oil as that's what I used in the np version.

Can't wait to cut these up....but they have to set up first.
I usually make one soap on the weekends or 1 large batch and 1 small batch....this is the first time I've made 3.
I had the foresight to premeasurei out my oils...write notation for the lye mix and do the soaps assembly style. Mainly I wanted to see how long it would take me. In the summer, I'm thinking a batch a day...or maybe keep the weekend schedule. In the mean time....I've put the soaps to bed and I'm going to sleep.
