6 months stroke free and smoke free!

Yep...I'm still here....was there a doubt? The doctor said "just get past 5 months..." and within that time he found the reason behind the stroke. I have outlived the prognosis......time to live with a man-made expiration date. Everything is in God's time now. However...i do find it intersting that at the 6 month mark I've gotten calls today from 3 different doctors and a nurse...checking up on me and making appts and such. My pcp (who is getting replaced soon) basically told me "don't worry about working ...the first year after a stroke when i asked how soon can i go back to work. At that point i didnt know my diagnosis so i was looking for a work release. This particular doctor has literally seen me 2x and then wrote a letter on my conditon that got my disability denied. So here i was...not able to go back to work and no money......then opps heres a tia........and another and another....and a diagnosis of a blood disorder and it goes on from there. Bottom line...God's not thru with me yet! So there! Time to find a doc that actually cares...and go on.

A few of my favorite things!

Ya ...ive been a bit misssing in action but in addition to recovering from the stroke and tia's...the new medication for my E.T. ...which im supposed to be "getting used too" tires me out. Instead of making a soap or two a day...its a soap a week....if im up to it. Anyway....here are the latest soaps from the last 3 weeks.

Sporty-Ort ...smells like Oil Spice Pure Sport....i messed it up and had to rebatch it...so it looks very different from the original.

Light and Shadow...smells like Cherry Overrload.

Mommy, Mommy! A blend of lavender, gardenia and a candy scent. Seemed like a fun idea for Mom's day....smells amazing.

PeachTree smells like peaches.

The few times i was concious more than 3 hours at a time...relabled all the soaps in my inventory. Believe it or not...that wore me out more than making soap. Anyway...youre now up to date.

Product ads designed to trick you into buying more product.

This says hair grows 4 inches a year. Incorrect.
All hair grows 1/2 inch...or more...per month.

Look at the new "lie"....there's a truth in advertising law....streching the truth...in my view... is still lying. Hair grows ...without products...on average 6 INCHES A YEAR ...not 4. So they want folks to believe their products causes a boost in average hair groth so that they run out and buy their stuff. For me...that's a reason to never buy their stuff cuz "what will they lie about next?"

Hair grows 1/2 inch a month, 6 inches a year....without cutting or trimming. If your hair grows slower than that...its under average, most folks hair gows at...or above average.

If they have to resort to this kind of nonsense...then they dont deserve trust. If you recognize the ad....and you reconize the truth of basic genetics....dont trust this product line or any like it.

I have E.T.

Finally...a diagnosis. A logical reason for the stroke.......and a treatment that prevents future occurances. Granted, I have a life long meds and tests I'll have to take for the rest of my life...but I'll be able to lead a fairly normal life now.

The meds, however, have to be stored and handled a certain way...mainly to protect others around me. Others around me can not touch the meds...my nurse wears gloves to protect from exposure. This is gonna be a long 2 weeks to determine if my platelets are lower. If so....success, if not...they'll have to see what else can be done.

Soap that looks like my soup!

Yesterday for lunch i had tomato soup with celery and ranch.......looked amazing. Tasted good too. I thought I'd make a soap in those colors...............this was the result!

Since I always swirl "Kiss nTell" scent, and im down to 1 left in inventory....this is the remake. Looks great don't it? Now i nust have to thinnk up a name for it. Haha

The Distracted Butterfly

This is a 2 in 1 soap. The front is the column pour from the Abstract Butterfly scented with a strawberry/pommegrante scent Best Friends Forever, the back is an over pour of peach perfection that is orange and yellow. Together they look and smell amazing. Of course the soap can be used from either side to isolate which ever scent is more desired or together to make a unique blend. This soap will be ready 4/20/14.

Abstract Butterfly column pour

This came out great. It consists of coconut, canola, and grapeseed oils. And will be done curing on 4/19/2014.
