2 needle socks...

From toe up...starting with 7 (9) sts, inc to 36 (40) with worsted
weight yarn on size 3 needles. Depending on fit you like. I use 36 for
close fit. I use 40 when the socks are going to go over another pair of
socks...for my feet. When working on socks for someone else...I go by
their measurements.

Toe is done on 4 dpns, then arranged on two needles. Mark one side as
the front as it will be exactly the same until you get to the heel. Heel
is done on 2 needles after the front has been separated and placed on
hold with an available dpn. This method uses two needles knit 1, slip 1,
across...turn and repeat. You end up with a tube....the heel will be
short row tight pair and then...you make the second same as the first.

Why go thru that instead of traditional? Because it's fun....and it
makes a sock in half the time, it's a challenge and it's easier to
transport the in progress work. Sooner or later...I will write down the
pattern so others can enjoy it.

This tubular rib sock....with a short row heel....and knit in toe, can
be made toe up, or top down. Toe up is eaiser cuz when you cast
off...you're done...no kircheners to do. The yarn used is lion wool.
must be handwashed as this yarn is feltable. Sock yarn is good too but
winter in Cincinnati calls for pure wool, trust on that.

The blue is the one I'm working on now. The pink is a previous work
added so you can see the progression.
